“Helping others to help themselves” - Social projects in Tanzania
For years WÖRWAG Pharma has provided support for aid projects in Tanzania on the principle of “helping other to help themselves” – a natural act for a responsible, sustainably operating company.
Since 1997, WÖRWAG Pharma has been involved with this East African country on the Indian Ocean, bordered by Kenya, Rwanda and Mozambique. For example in Isoko, a village which, thanks to the donated funds “Help for Tanzania”, finally has a reliable energy supply. However, the project in Isoko is just one of many, in the Lutengano region, for example, four villages with 1,500 residents and a secondary school with 1,200 students received a central water supply with clean drinking water. Or Mbeya: here homeless children can receive professional training in a workshop that was set up with donations.
Reliable power supply, clean drinking water, an education project for homeless children: WÖRWAG Pharma would like to take responsibility even beyond its commitment to good and effective medications. Support for social projects, whether it is in Africa, in its home region or elsewhere in the world, is part of a sustainably thinking and acting company.
