Against zinc deficiency
Zinc is the second most abundant trace element in the human body. As a component of numerous proteins and enzymes, zinc is involved in our carbohydrate, protein and lipid metabolism.
Sufficient protein and nucleic acid synthesis is the prerequisite for all cell division and growth processes. For this reason, zinc deficiency becomes noticeable first in cell systems with rapidly dividing cells, as is the case in the skin, mucous membranes and the immune system.
